The Internorga was first opened in 1921 and is known as an international trade fair for the areas of gastronomy and the hotel industry. In terms of content, it is primarily aimed at confectioneries, bakeries and the general hotel and catering industry - for exhibitors as well as interested people and potential customers.
Around 1300 exhibitors are represented at the Internorga every year at the Hamburg exhibition center. In 2020 it was different for the first time.
Internorga 2020 was originally scheduled to take place from March 13, 2020 to March 17, 2020. Due to the corona pandemic, it was then postponed to June 20, 2020 to June 24, 2020. Since no trade fair could take place at this point due to the virus, Internorga 2020 was finally canceled.
At this point, however, it was still hoped that, even if Internorga 2020 could not take place, Internorga 2021 could take place again as usual.
In 2021 the Internorga will be 100 years old. For this anniversary, the fair should be particularly large and breathtaking. Due to the ongoing corona pandemic, the Internorga team was already preparing in 2020 that not everything could take place as usual.
For this reason, the 2021 trade fair does not have to be canceled despite the ongoing pandemic, but it must be carried out in a completely different way as the IDX_FS International Digital Food Services Expo powered by INTERNORGA.
Internorga 2021 Exhibitors can advertise their work again this year from March 15, 2021 to March 17, 2021, but not as usual in the huge exhibition center in Hamburg, but virtually!
With the motto "Together for the industry", Internorga invites you to a virtual meeting this year. People and companies from the gastronomy, food service and hotel industries are cordially invited to exchange information about the virtual meeting place and to discover new trends and possibilities. A diverse network makes this possible and offers every participant real added value.

Highlights such as the International Foodservice Forum, the Pink Cube trend forum and the Gastro Founders' Award are intended to encourage participation and reflect the old trade fair caliber in virtual form. In this way, Internorga 2021 exhibitors and Internorga 2021 visitors can meet virtually.

The Internorga 2021 team would rather act than twiddle their thumbs, because just waiting for things to reopen won't get anyone anywhere. And with Internorga 2021, new experiences will also be made.
