Disposable palm leaf plates
Our sustainable disposable palm leaf plates are made from palm leaves from India. There, the palm leaves accumulate as residues on plantations for betel nut palms. In most cases, the palm leaves are used as natural fertilizer or thrown away. In order to give the palm leaves a second life and to promote the Indian circular economy, disposable tableware is made from the palm leaves. For our disposable plates, the palm leaves are washed, tied together and dried. The washing water is also taken care of, so it is collected and used for general irrigation. With a small residual amount of moisture, the plates are then pressed into the appropriate shape and dried. In addition to plates, we also offer palm leaf bowls.

Since July 3rd, 2021, there has been an EU-wide ban on single-use plastic! As a result, single-use cutlery, crockery and straws made of plastic or PLA, so-called bio-plastic, were banned throughout the European Union in the summer of 2021. However, disposable tableware is indispensable in many situations, especially in the catering trade or at home.
