The round, two-compartment palm leaf plate from LEEF (Ø 23 x 2.75 cm) is the main course format: two compartments keep meat and sides separate, and sauces stay right where they belong. Since palm leaf is grease- and moisture-resistant, nothing soaks through, even with dressings and meat juices. Pressed from a single leaf of the areca palm, every plate is unique.

The special feature: Palm leaf is a waste product that is given a second life according to the waste-to-value principle. The plate is certified home-compostable (DIN CERTCO, reg. no. 9P0064) or compostable according to EN 13432 (reg. no. 7P0602) – after use, it can simply be tossed on the compost.

This makes it the perfect choice for barbecues, champagne receptions, weddings, catering, or business events: This is event tableware with style!

For our disposable plates, the palm leaves are washed, tied together, and then dried. We ensure that sustainability is a key aspect of this process, so the water used to wash the palm leaves is collected and reused to irrigate the plantations.

The leaves are then pressed and cut into the desired shape. This is how you get your palm leaf products, completely without chemical additives, and the few processing steps also mean that very little energy and resources are used.

Our sustainable disposable palm leaf plates are made from palm leaves sourced from India. It is important to us that we work with verified facilities there that produce our palm leaf products under fair working and payment conditions, and of course, according to the highest standards.
