The teardrop-shaped palm leaf plate from Wisefood (17 cm) brings shape to your buffet: the curved silhouette presents finger food, antipasti, and desserts as if plated by a chef. Since palm leaf is resistant to grease and moisture, even marinated bites and dips remain on the plate without soaking through. Pressed from a single leaf of the areca palm, every plate is unique.

The special feature: palm leaf is a residual material that is given a second life based on the waste-to-value principle. The plate is certified home-compostable (DIN CERTCO, Reg. No. 9P0064) or compostable according to EN 13432 (Reg. No. 7P0602) – after use, it simply goes on the compost.

Yes. The palm leaf plate is made of 100% pressed palm leaf without any coating and without binders or additives. Its home compostability is certified by DIN CERTCO (Home Compostable, Reg. No. 9P0064), and its industrial compostability according to EN 13432 (Reg. No. 7P0602). After use, it can therefore go directly onto the garden compost. Whether palm leaf tableware can additionally be disposed of in the organic waste bin varies by municipality – a glance at local waste regulations is sufficient. Unlike coated cardboard, no plastic residue is left behind.

Yes, with clear limits: in the microwave up to 500 watts for a maximum of 2 minutes, in the oven up to 180 °C for a maximum of 30 minutes. This allows food to be kept warm or briefly reheated—practical for catering and buffets. The refrigerator is also no problem. The material provides good insulation, making it comfortable to handle even warm food.
