Yes. The palm leaf plate consists of 100% pressed palm leaf without coating and without binding or additive agents. Home compostability is certified according to DIN CERTCO (Home Compostable, Reg. No. 9P0064), and industrial compostability according to EN 13432 (Reg. No. 7P0602). After use, it can therefore be placed directly onto the garden compost. Whether palm leaf tableware can additionally be put into the organic waste bin is regulated differently by municipalities – a look at the local waste regulations is sufficient. Unlike coated cardboard, no plastic residues remain.

Yes, with clear limits: in the microwave up to 500 watts for a maximum of 2 minutes, in the oven up to 180 °C for a maximum of 30 minutes. This allows food to be kept warm or briefly reheated – practical for catering and buffets. The refrigerator is also no problem. The material provides good insulation, making warm food comfortable to handle.
