Its home compostability is certified according to DIN CERTCO (Home Compostable, reg. no. 9P0064), and its industrial compostability according to EN 13432 (reg. no. 7P0602). After use, it can therefore go directly onto your garden compost. Whether palm leaf tableware is also permitted in the organic waste bin varies by municipality—a quick look at the local waste regulations is all it takes. Unlike coated cardboard, no plastic residues remain.

Yes, with clear limits: in the microwave up to 500 watts for a maximum of 2 minutes, in the oven up to 180 °C for a maximum of 30 minutes. This allows food to be kept warm or briefly reheated – practical for catering and buffets. The refrigerator is also no problem. The material provides good insulation, making it comfortable to handle even warm food.
