The lid is designed for the round paper bowls in the same series with 500, 650, and 800 ml capacities – all three sizes have an identical opening diameter of Ø 15 cm, meaning one type of lid covers the entire size range. This simplifies inventory management and packing processes. For the 1000 ml bowl (Ø 18.5 cm), the matching PET lid in Ø 18.5 cm is available.

The transparent PET lid makes the contents visible without having to open the bowl – a tangible sales advantage in the refrigerated display, at the deli counter, and for delivery services, as freshly prepared salads and bowls sell based on their appearance. At the same time, the lid protects the contents from contact and dust, keeps toppings in place, and makes filled bowls stackable. PET is the established material for this: dimensionally stable, shatterproof, and transparent.

The PET lid belongs in the yellow bin or yellow sack (recyclables collection). It is important to dispose of the components separately: the paper bowl is home- and industrially compostable as well as recyclable with waste paper, while the lid is made of plastic and is sent to plastic recycling via the recyclables collection. Simply separate the lid and bowl before disposal to allow both materials to be processed correctly.
