Yes. The 800 ml paper bowl is DIN-certified home compostable (DIN 54600) and degrades within 180 days under home composting conditions; in addition, it is industrially compostable according to EN 13432. Home compostable means: It decomposes even at the lower temperatures of a garden compost pile – an industrial composting facility with high decomposition temperatures is not required. This is made possible by the water-based coating; products with PE or PLA coatings generally do not achieve this classification, as PLA-coated products are usually only industrially compostable. The degradation time depends on the conditions in the compost (moisture, temperature, fragmentation).

Yes – and that is what makes it special. Conventional single-use tableware with a PE coating does not belong in the paper recycling bin, but in the yellow bin, because the plastic layer can hardly be separated from the fiber during paper recycling. In contrast, this tray is certified as recyclable (DIN Recyclable): the water-based coating can be processed in the paper recycling cycle, and the kraft paper fibers (FSC® Mix Credit) are recovered. Alternatively, it can be composted at home or industrially – meaning there are three approved disposal routes.

With a filling volume of 800 ml (1000 ml brimful), this bowl is the ideal size for main dishes to go: hearty bowls, curries, pasta and rice dishes, as well as large salads – hot and cold. The deep shape (Ø 15 x 7.5 cm) holds complete lunch portions. With the separately available transparent PET lid (Ø 15 cm), the contents remain protected and visible during transport. Smaller portions are covered by the 500 and 650 ml bowls, and family portions by the 1000 ml bowl.

The bowl is perfect for salad bars and delivery services: it can be stacked to save space, is easy to handle at approx. 16.8 g per bowl, and comes from FSSC 22000 and ISO 22000 certified production. Available in 50-packs for parties and smaller businesses, as well as in cartons of 300 pieces (6 x 50) and as a 5-carton unit with 1,500 pieces for salad bars, restaurants, caterers, and resale.
