Yes. The 650 ml paper bowl is DIN-certified home-compostable (DIN 54600) and biodegrades under home-composting conditions within 180 days; in addition, it is industrially compostable according to EN 13432. Home-compostable means: it decomposes even at the lower temperatures of a garden compost pile – an industrial composting facility with high rotting temperatures is not required. This is made possible by the water-based coating; products with PE or PLA coatings generally do not achieve this classification, as PLA-coated products are usually only industrially compostable. The degradation time depends on the conditions in the compost (moisture, temperature, shredding).

Yes – and that is what makes it special. Classic disposable tableware with a PE coating does not belong in the paper recycling bin, but in the yellow bin, because the plastic layer can hardly be separated from the fiber during paper recycling. This tray, on the other hand, is certified as recyclable (DIN Recyclable): the water-based coating can be processed in the paper recycling circuit, and the kraft paper fibers (FSC® Mix Credit) are recovered. Alternatively, it can be home or industrially composted – so there are three approved disposal routes.

With a filling volume of 650 ml (800 ml brimful), this bowl is the medium size in the range: lunch bowls, salads, curries, pasta, and rice dishes – hot or cold. The wide shape (Ø 15 x 6 cm) makes it easy to arrange toppings. With the separately available transparent PET lid (Ø 15 cm), contents remain protected and visible during transport. Smaller portions are covered by the 500 ml bowl, while larger ones are covered by the 800 ml and 1000 ml bowls.

The bowl is perfectly suited for salad bars and delivery services: it is space-saving and stackable, easy to handle at approx. 15 g per bowl, and comes from FSSC 22000 and ISO 22000 certified production. Available in 50-packs for parties and smaller businesses, as well as in cartons of 300 (6 x 50) and a 5-carton unit of 1,500 pieces for salad bars, restaurants, caterers, and resale. Certified disposal via waste paper or compost also simplifies waste separation in your business.
