For sauces and dips to go, the round paper lid with a 6.15 cm diameter complements the matching 40 ml sauce cup. It is made of unbleached kraft paper (FSC® Mix Credit) with a water-based coating free from PE and PLA, and fits onto the cup of the same diameter.

The special feature: The water-based coating requires no PE or PLA. The product is certified as DIN Home Compostable (DIN 54600), DIN Industrial Compostable (EN 13432), and DIN Recyclable.

When preparing portions for burgers, bowls, or buffets, the lid keeps the cups covered during transport. The precise size makes it easy to seal at snack bars and catering counters.

Yes. The paper lid is DIN-certified home compostable (DIN 54600) and biodegrades under home composting conditions within 180 days; in addition, it is industrially compostable according to EN 13432. Home compostable means: It decomposes even at the lower temperatures of a garden compost pile—an industrial composting facility with high decomposition temperatures is not required. This is made possible by the water-based coating; products with PE or PLA coatings generally do not achieve this classification, as PLA-coated products are usually only industrially compostable. The degradation time depends on the conditions in the compost (moisture, temperature, fragmentation).

Yes – and that is what makes it special. Conventional disposable tableware with a PE coating does not belong in waste paper, but in the yellow recycling bin, because the plastic layer can hardly be separated from the fiber during paper recycling. This lid, by contrast, is certified as recyclable (DIN Recyclable): the water-based coating can be processed in the paper cycle, and the kraft paper fibers (FSC® Mix Credit) are recovered. Alternatively, it can be composted at home or industrially – so there are three approved disposal routes.

The lid is designed for the 40 ml sauce cup (Ø 6.15 x 4 cm) from the same series and fits precisely onto the rim of the cup. This allows ketchup, mayo, dressings, and dips to be cleanly sealed for delivery services, take-away, or buffets, and they can be stacked when filled. Separate paper lids in the appropriate diameters are available for the soup cups in the series with Ø 9.8 cm and Ø 11.5 cm.

The lid is also designed for rapid sealing during operation: it is precisely fitted, featherlight at approx. 1.7 g per piece, and comes from production certified according to FSSC 22000 and ISO 22000. It is available in a 50-pack for parties and smaller businesses, as well as in a carton of 1,000 pieces (20 x 50) and as a 5-carton unit with 5,000 pieces for delivery services, snack bars, caterers, and resale. Certified disposal via waste paper or compost also simplifies waste separation in the workplace.
