What sets our kraft paper cups apart? The coating. While most sustainable coffee-to-go cups on the market use an inner coating of PLA (corn starch plastic) or PE (plastic), our paper cups use a water-based coating. Other kraft paper cups are therefore only industrially compostable – ours are the only disposable cups that are also home compostable (DIN certified). Alternatively, they can be recycled with waste paper or disposed of in an industrial composting facility. Three ways, one good ending.

The natural kraft paper from FSC®-certified forests is unbleached. The characteristic brown color makes the cup an eye-catcher on any counter and emphasizes sustainability without many words.

Suitable for professional use in cafés, bakeries, food trucks, bistros, snack bars, kiosks, by baristas, in hotels, catering, or event gastronomy. Our single-wall paper cups with water-based coating are available in sizes 100 ml, 200 ml, 300 ml, and 400 ml, in white or brown, and with matching lids.

Yes. The 300 ml paper cup is DIN-certified home-compostable (DIN 54600) and biodegrades under home composting conditions within 180 days; additionally, it is industrially compostable according to EN 13432. Home-compostable means: It decomposes even at the lower temperatures of a garden compost heap—an industrial composting facility with high decomposition temperatures is not required. This is made possible by the water-based coating; products with PE or PLA coatings generally do not achieve this classification, as PLA-coated products are usually only industrially compostable. The degradation time depends on the conditions in the compost (moisture, temperature, shredding).

Yes – and that's what makes it special. Classic disposable tableware with a PE coating does not belong in the waste paper bin, but in the yellow bin, because the plastic layer can hardly be separated from the fiber during paper recycling. This cup, on the other hand, is certified as recyclable (DIN Recyclable): the water-based coating can be processed in the paper cycle, and the fibers from kraft paper (FSC® Mix Credit) are recovered. Alternatively, it can be home or industrially composted – so there are three approved disposal methods.

With a filling volume of 300 ml (400 ml to the brim, equivalent to 12 oz), this cup is the all-rounder of the series: filter coffee, large cappuccino, tea, hot chocolate, as well as soft drinks, spritzers, and iced tea. It remains drip-proof and retains its shape. The 200 ml cup is suitable for a quick small coffee, while the 400 ml cup from the same series is ideal for latte macchiato and large cold drinks.

The cup is also designed for counter use: it is space-saving and stackable, easy to handle at approx. 10 g per cup, and manufactured in an FSSC 22000 and ISO 22000 certified facility. Available in 50-packs for parties and smaller businesses, in cases of 1,000 units (20 x 50), and as a 5-case unit of 5,000 units for cafés, bakeries, caterers, and resale. Certified disposal via waste paper or compost also simplifies waste separation in your business.
