Disposable palm leaf plates

Our sustainable disposable plates made of palm leaf are made from palm leaves from India. There, the palm leaves accumulate as residual material on plantations for betel nut palms. In most cases, the palm leaves are used as natural fertiliser or thrown away. To give the palm leaves a second life and to promote the Indian circular economy, disposable tableware is made from the palm leaves. For our disposable plates, the palm leaves are washed, tied together and the palm leaf is dried. Attention is also paid to the washing water, so it is collected and used for general irrigation. With a small amount of moisture remaining, the plates are then pressed into the appropriate shape and dried. Besides plates, we also offer palm leaf bowls.

Advantages of palm leaf tableware

Palm leaf tableware is tasteless and stable. They look good and are ideal for catering and home use and also make a great decoration. We have different packs with different quantities to meet your personal needs. Plus, with our disposable palm leaf plates, you don't have to feel bad for the environment. They are sustainable, consist of a residual material and are produced in a resource-saving way. In addition, you support fair work on palm plantations in India.

Storing the disposable plates is also easy, you don't have to pay attention to much. Only very moist food should be placed on them less than 30 minutes before consumption to prevent differences in taste. The disposable plates made of palm leaf are your ideal companion in all situations of life and celebration!

From 3 July 2021: Single-use plastic ban in the EU

On 3 July 2021, the EU-wide ban on single-use plastic will come into force! This means that in the summer of 2021, disposable cutlery, crockery and straws made of plastic or PLA, so-called bio-plastic, will be banned throughout the European Union. However, disposable tableware is indispensable in many situations, especially in the catering industry or at home. That's why our resource-saving plates made of palm leaf are the perfect alternative to disposable plates made of plastic, PLA or sugar cane.
